Website Launch: Ofarrill Associates — Empowering Legal Solutions with a Modern Digital Presence
Inside the Fly Spectra rebuild for Ofarrill Associates: a modern, fast, conversion-focused legal website built to win new clients in Connecticut.
When the team at Ofarrill Associates reached out earlier this year, they were stuck with a website that did exactly what every outdated law firm site does: it described the practice in confident, formal language, and converted almost no one. Prospective clients in Connecticut would land on the homepage, skim the wall of text, and leave without ever picking up the phone.
This is the story of how we rebuilt that experience — and what came out of it.
The Problem: A Trustworthy Practice With an Untrustworthy Website
Ofarrill Associates is a respected legal practice in Connecticut with deep expertise across several practice areas. The team is experienced, the results speak for themselves, and clients who actually work with them refer enthusiastically. The website did none of that work.
The old site had three core problems:
- Slow load times on mobile. Most legal-services searches in Connecticut happen on a phone. The old site took 6+ seconds to load on 4G — long enough for most visitors to bounce before the homepage finished rendering.
- Buried contact information. The phone number lived in a small line at the bottom of every page. Click-to-call did not work. Forms were two scrolls below the fold.
- No local SEO foundation. Practice areas were not structured into individual landing pages, schema markup was missing, and the firm was nearly invisible for “[practice area] near me” searches across Hartford County.
The result was predictable: respectable organic traffic, almost no conversions, and growing competitive pressure from firms with better-built websites.

What we found:
An audit of the old site showed page-load times of 5.8 seconds on mobile, only 3 pages indexed for practice-area keywords (out of 7 active practice areas), and no LocalBusiness or LegalService schema markup anywhere. Easy wins waiting on the table.
The Approach: A Modern Lightweight Rebuild
We scoped the project as a full rebuild rather than a refresh. The foundation was too dated to patch — every “fix” would have been a workaround. Flat-fee quoted in writing, two-week build, owner-direct communication from day one.
The rebuild had four priorities:
- Speed. Lightweight modern stack, optimized images, no bloated template builders. Target: under 2 seconds LCP on 4G mobile.
- Clarity. Every practice area gets its own page with clear scope, attorney bios, and “what to expect” copy that respects the reader’s time.
- Conversion paths. Phone number above the fold on every page. Click-to-call working everywhere. Lead-capture form in the hero, on every practice-area page, and on contact.
- Local SEO foundation. LegalService schema on every practice page. Hartford-area location signals throughout. Each practice area structured as its own landing page for “near me” search intent.
Inside the Build
The two-week build followed the usual Fly Spectra rhythm: week one for discovery, design, and content alignment; week two for build, content load, on-page SEO, QA, and launch. The Ofarrill team gave fast, decisive feedback at two checkpoints — that is the single biggest factor in keeping any project on schedule.

A few specific decisions worth noting:
| Decision | Why |
|---|---|
| Practice areas as standalone pages | Each one targets distinct search intent and ranks independently |
| Attorney bios with photos | Builds trust on a category where trust is the conversion |
| Sticky click-to-call button on mobile | Legal inquiries are time-sensitive; the phone has to be one tap away |
| LegalService + LocalBusiness schema | Tells Google exactly what kind of business and where |
| Migrated old URLs with 301 redirects | Preserved existing search equity through the transition |
The migration was the most delicate piece. The old site had a handful of pages that ranked, and losing them at launch would have been a real setback. We mapped every existing URL, set up 301 redirects, and re-indexed everything in Google Search Console before swapping DNS.
What Changed After Launch
The numbers settled in over the first six weeks after launch:
- Mobile page load: 5.8s → 1.6s LCP on 4G
- Pages indexed for practice-area keywords: 3 → 11
- Lead-form submissions per week: 0-1 → 4-6
- Phone calls from organic search (GBP + website): roughly 3x baseline
More important than any single number: the team stopped losing inquiries to faster competitors. The site now does the work the practice deserved — communicating expertise quickly, making contact effortless, and ranking for the searches that bring real cases.
What This Means for Other Connecticut Practices
If your firm or practice is operating with a website built more than 4-5 years ago, the math is almost always in favor of a rebuild rather than another round of patches. The web has moved on — Core Web Vitals, mobile-first indexing, structured data, and Map Pack dominance are all measurable, all fixable, and all leaving money on the table when ignored.
We work flat-fee on every project. No retainers, no hourly billing, no surprise invoices. If your site is the bottleneck and you want to know whether a rebuild makes sense, we are happy to take a look.
